OVERVIEW: Information about Eduroam as a Wireless Network

What is Eduroam and why has Clemson University adopted this Wireless Network?

  • Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across home campuses and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop or having the network ID on their mobile device.

Note: All of your information being sent over the wireless network, whether at Clemson University or roaming, is still encrypted. Even in the initial login/authentication stage.
