Do I need to dial 9 to place an external call?

No, you do not. You may dial the phone number without dialing 9.


Do I need an access code to place a long-distance call?

No, you do not. You can place your call with a 1+ area code + 7-digit number as you would from any other phone.

How can I access my voicemail from outside the office?

To access your voicemail from outside the office, dial your 10-digit number and when your greeting starts playing press the * (star) key. You will be prompted to enter your ten-digit extension number and # followed by your PIN.

How do I retrieve old voicemail?

Visit voicemail.clemson.edu. Enter your telephone number 656-xxxx and the PIN you selected.

Is there a website where I can customize my phone settings?

Yes. Visit phone.clemson.edu for the Unified Communications Self Care Portal. This portal allows you to forward  your phone, set up speed dials and manage your contacts.
