Access and Availability

Use your Clemson username and password to login to Clemson Canvas instance at
If you were registered with a non-Clemson email, go to to log in to Canvas and access your course.

After logging to Canvas, click on Courses on the navigation menu. Courses for each term will be identified as S+ two digit of year+01 for Spring semester, S+ two digit of year+05 for Summer sessions, S+ two digit of year+08 for Fall semester.

By default, all courses loaded from iRoar/Banner will be set to be unpublished. To make it available to students, click the Publish button or click the Setup Checklist button under Home.

To view students, go to People, all the students will be listed there. To view sections, go to Settings from the course navigation menu, click the Sections tab, and all sections will be listed with a number of students in each section and CRN number.

Clemson Online recommends that you access Canvas through Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Respondus. Some users have reported problems with Internet Explorer and Edge. To check your system and browser requirements, please visit:

As of Spring 2017, this feature is available and viewable by section(s). 

As courses are automatically created from iROAR, faculty cannot manually create a course; however, faculty can request a Sandbox course (i.e., a blank shell) by emailing
