Some mail servers not available from off-campus

Starting 9/1/23, Clemson's general smtp server will no longer be available outside of Clemson's network. If you have an off-campus application, device, or email client that needs to send email, we suggest using Microsoft's SMTP service.

Here are the SMTP settings:

• SMTP server name: smtp-mail.outlook.com
• SMTP port: 587
• SMTP encryption method: STARTTLS

NOTE: this may not work in every case. It does not work with gmail.
