Setting Up Your Laptop

All laptops coming to Clemson for the first time need to be set up for the Clemson environment. This is true whether you just purchased a new laptop from Clemson or are bringing a laptop from home.  Here are some ways to get your laptop set up:

Online Resources

Below you can choose your computer type and you will then be taken to a page with video resources to guide you through the setup for your specific type of laptop.

If you have a Windows laptop, click here.

If you have a Apple (Mac) laptop, click here.

Laptop Setup Workshops

(Due to COVID-19 there will be no in-person Laptop Setup Workshops for Fall 2020)

If you are not very comfortable working with computers or are worried about hitting snags along the way, you can sign up for an in-person Laptop Setup Workshop. These typically coincide with the end of each orientation session and move in weekend. These workshops are especially recommended if you have a Windows laptop that was NOT purchased through Clemson as your setup process may be less straight forward.

Click here to register for an in-person Laptop Setup Workshop.
