HOW TO: Fix a Computer That Freezes While Running the Respondus LockDown Browser


To fix a computer that freezes while running the Respondus Lockdown browser, please follow the steps below:  

There are several instances in which your computer could freeze while running the Respondus Lockdown browser.  Some examples include: If you close out of the browser incorrectly and then shut down your computer via the power button to reset it, the Respondus Lockdown feature may be missing or blocked after.  A similar issue may happen if you power down your computer while the Browser is running. To fix this, follow the steps listed below.

  1. Restart Respondus LockDown Browser.
  2. Exit the program properly (click the "X" in the top right corner). 
  3. Then go to  Start, Log Off  to complete the process.
