WHAT IS MY CLEMSON EMAIL ADDRESS?

Your email address will be your username followed by “@clemson.edu” (i.e. tiger@clemson.edu).  

MICROSOFT EXCHANGE

As a new student, you will automatically receive a Microsoft Exchange Online mailbox. The creation process for this mailbox starts when you are accepted, so it may not be ready if you quickly complete the onboarding process. 

Before you begin:

• DUO Mobile is required for Outlook accounts. It is important to ensure you have DUO enabled on your device(s). Learn more about setting up DUO Mobile here.

 

To access your email account for the first time:

• Visit https://365.clemson.edu
• Your username will be your full Clemson username plus @clemson.edu. (Ex: tiger@clemson.edu)
• Your password will be the same one you previously set during onboarding.
• If you are accessing this from off Clemson's network, you will need to authenticate through Duo 2FA.
• After signing into the Microsoft 365 portal, you can click the Outlook app to open your email. If the Outlook app is not available, creation of your mailbox has not yet finished. Please wait and try again later.

Like previous students, you have also been given a Google Workspace for Education account, but Gmail has been disabled. 

WHAT IS GOOGLE WORKSPACE FOR EDUCATION?

Clemson students can use Google Workspace for applications like Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Slides, etc.  There will be no Gmail associated with Clemson Google Workspace starting in Spring 2024. New students will use Microsoft Exchange for email starting in January.

How do I log in to Google Workspace and what is my initial password?

Go to http://g.clemson.edu to access your Google Workspace for Education account. Your username will be your Clemson username@g.clemson.edu. This account has its own password separate from the one associated with your Clemson Username. The initial password will be “cu##” followed by the last four numbers of your social security number (i.e. cu##1234). After the initial use, you should reset that password (it will not match your Clemson password).

What if I forgot my Clemson Google password or my default password isn’t working?

Log in to the Email Control Panel with your university username and password. Click “Reset my Google Apps password” and follow all of the instructions on the next screen.

What if I’m an international student and do not have a social security number?

Since international students do not have a social security number, you must log in to the Email Control Panel with your university username and password to reset your password. Click “Reset my Google Apps password” and follow all of the instructions on the next screen.

How do I change my Google Workspace for Education password?

You can change your password within your account settings. Resetting your G Workspace password will NOT change your Clemson Username password. For detailed instructions, please see Google’s password reset walkthrough.
